…Value Centered

It was Tom Hopkins who said

The self-centered constantly seek approval from and power over others, they try to impress them with their worth rather than express concern for others well being and their outward appearances usually involve ways to hide their real thoughts and intentions.
The VALUE CENTERED give up themselves freely and graciously, constantly SEEKING TO EMPOWER OTHERS.

The SELF-CENTERED on the other hand are always out to see WHAT IS IN IT FOR ME.

But humanity was not designed for that. Part of our human design includes the creation of value. This is the reason man has been so progressive compared to other animals. The secret of man is that need and craving to express his value.

I used to think that DIAMONDS where so sought after and valuable because they glitter and they cost so much, I like many others was erring in my thoughts. Diamonds are actually sort after because they are nearly indestructible; they hold their value indefinitely.

I am a firm believer in the infinite potential of humanity.

I mean think back to a century ago, who would have thoughts that some of todays basics where even possible, but the continuous, consistent and unwavering dogged pursuit of humanity keeps giving birth to new and better innovation every single day.

Beginning from the discovery of electricity, late 19th century, to the discovery of Penicillin, 1928, the Internet in 1960’S, the airplane in, 1903 and the automobile in the late 19th century, these are comforts we cannot even imagine a life without in todays world.

The way I see it, there are a thousand new innovations, technological innovations, business innovations and any other form of innovation still lying inside of you and I, latent, waiting to be birthed, given expression and a chance to change the course of history and time.    But first some one has to realize and choose to activate this ideas, abilities and creativity.

Refuse the notion that you are only a piece of statistical evidence on earth, be fully aware that YOU too are here to make a difference. I mean if you did not matter you will not be here occupying space. Your very existence is proof that you have answers to at least one of humanity’s questions.

With the realization of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability, one can build a better world – Dalai Lama
